Puppet Skit on Faith

THE FRUIT OF SPIRIT

GALATIANS 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Lesson Seven

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

MOMMY: Okay Honey, God is good. We have received a blessing to pay our bill.

DADDY: Yes, God is indeed good. Let us now return some of this blessing to God in tithes.

[JOHN PLAYING WITH HIS TOYS]

MOMMY: Great idea!

JOHN: Mommy, Daddy...wait a minute. How can you give to God from the little you received,

how will you be able to pay the bill?

DADDY & MOMMY: [SMILES]

MOMMY: Do you remember the story we studied this morning for devotion?

JOHN: Yes mommy, I remember. It was about Elijah and the widow of Zarephath.

DADDY: Correct John.

MOMMY: Very good John. Please tell us the story.

JOHN: Sure, mommy and daddy. Let me see, where to start... Well God told Elijah to go to

Zarephath and he will see a widow and she will give him something to eat.

DADDY: So, did Elijah listen to God?

JOHN: Yes, he did. He went to Zarephath and he saw the widow and he asked her to please

make him some bread.

MOMMY: And what did the widow say to Elijah?

JOHN: Well, the widow told Elijah she only had a little flour and oil left in her barrel to make

one more meal for herself and son.

DADDY: Oh wow! So, did Elijah tell her not to make him the bread anymore?

JOHN: No daddy, Elijah still told her to make the bread, remember God told him to ask the

widow woman and he was obeying God.

MOMMY: [SMILES] Mmmmm. Okay, continue the story son.

JOHN: Okay mommy. Elijah told the widow that when she made the bread for him with the

little that she had, God will bless her with much more for herself and son. The widow believed

what God said through Elijah and she made the bread for him. When she went back to her barrel

it was overflowing with flour and oil.

[KNOCK ON DOOR]

DADDY: Who is it?

MAILMAN: It is the mailman I have a package for you.

DADDY: [OPENS DOOR, COLLECTS PACKAGE] Thank you Sir.

JOHN: What is it Daddy?

MOMMY: Yes, what is it Honey?

DADDY: [OPENS PACKAGE] It is $200(two hundred dollars) from a company I worked at,

they had owed me this money from a project I created months ago.

MOMMY & JOHN: WOW!

JOHN: That is like the story we were talking about a few minutes ago daddy and mommy.

Elijah obeyed and believed God will provide food for him even though he did not know the

widow or if she would really give him bread. Then the widow obeyed and believed God also by

sharing the little that she had with Elijah. God blessed her with so much more flour and oil.

DADDY: [SMILES] Yes, very good point John.

JOHN: Wow, daddy and mommy, you obeyed God and give back to Him from the little you had

even though you did not have enough to pay the bill. But you believed that God will provide and

He did. God even sent more than is needed for the bill.

MOMMY: [SMILES] Yes, my son and that is what we call “FAITH”. Let us sing the song from

devotions this morning, “God will make a way”

DADDY: That is a perfect song.

GOD WILL MAKE A WAY

God will make a way

Where there seems to be no way

He works in ways we cannot see

He will make a way for me

He will be my guide

Hold me closely to His side

With love and strength for each new day

He will make a way, He will make a way

Oh, God will make a way

Where there seems to be no way

He works in ways we cannot see

He will make a way for me

He will be my guide

Hold me closely to His side

With love and strength for each new day

He will make a way, He will make a way

By a roadway in the wilderness, He'll lead me

And rivers in the desert will I see

Heaven and Earth will fade but His Word will still remain

And He will do something new today

Oh, God will make a way

Where there seems to be no way

He works in ways we cannot see

He will make a way for me

He will be my guide

Hold me closely to His side

With love and strength for each new day

He will make a way, He will make a way

By a roadway in the wilderness, He'll lead me

And rivers in the desert will I see

Heaven and Earth will fade but His Word will still remain

And He will do something new today

Oh, God will make a way

Where there seems to be no way

He works in ways we cannot see

He will make a way for me

He will be my guide

Hold me closely to His side

With love and strength for each new day

He will make a way, He will make a way

With love and strength for each new day

He will make a way, He will make a way
